Why “Stories”?

Why does your leadership program at your school exist?  My answer to that question is, “We exist to create stories for all students!”  We define a “story” as a special memory or signficant moment that is shared with friends, family, and future generations.

But why stories?  Why do we exist to create these stories?

There are so many negative influences and experiences that trouble students everyday.  Many students struggle with depression, loneliness, troubles at home, self-esteem, and the list goes on and on.  Our hope is that in the midst of all the negative things, we can provide opportunities to develop a “NEW STORY”.  A story that creates a special memory or significant moment that they share with friends, family, and future generations.  Our PURPOSE is to think of, organize, and offer events and activities that give students the ability to make positive and health stories.
